Features born from customer requests
It started with one museum and a broken checkout
More than 10 years ago, our founder was helping a single museum wrestle with Altru. The data engine was powerful, but the online experience guests actually touched was clunky and off-brand. So he built a tool to fix it, sitting right on top of Altru rather than replacing it.
Other Altru users heard about it and asked for the same thing. Then they asked for more: a better membership renewal, a way to take a donation at checkout, a form Altru could not produce on its own. We built each one, kept it written as a partner to Altru, and watched the platform grow request by request.
10 years later, more than 100+ arts and culture organizations run on Social Good, and we are a Blackbaud Technology Partner in the Blackbaud Partner Network. None of it came from a roadmap in a conference room. It came from museums, zoos, gardens, and cultural nonprofits telling us what Altru would not do.
